My name is Yuqi Cui, I’m a New York-based urban designer and a master candidate in architecture and urban design at Columbia University.

I have an optimistic and matured personality which encourages me to engage in various social issues and always pursue higher standards. With a sponsorship from Tongji University, I helped to establish the Fablab-Shanghai, a maker space that promotes digital fabrication such as 3D printing technique. With this experience, I had the honor of being one of the selected speakers at TEDx Youth in Suzhou, 2014.  (https://www.fablabs.io/labs/ShanghaiFablab) . I'm also co-founded the Openhive.com.  For my devotion and practice in the social issues, I was nominated as a member of young leader group from Urban land Institution and moderated the discussion panel of ULI main conference 2016.

Since December of 2015, I have been a valued employee of LINK lab, a US and China-based consultancy for architectural design and urban research. My other professional experiences include internships at Walt Disney Imagineering (disneyimaginations.com) and AECOM (www.aecom.com), Which also enhanced my skills in the discipline of architecture to realize new models of the built environment that are healthy, vibrant, and equitable.

I'm also a big fan of  <the fountainhead>.
